The Sivakasi Lions Club was started in 1961 and chartered on December 3, 1961. Navigated by many philanthropists, The Sivakasi Lions Club has done yeoman service for the upliftment of the Poor by medical services, hunger eradication and Educational Needs. The Sivakasi Lions Matriculation School, The Lions Vision Academy (CBSE), Lions IB School are the permanent projects for the Sivakasi Citizens. At present, the Sivakasi Club with a strength of 221 members is in Lions District 3242A comprising Ramanathapuram, Virudhunagar, Tenkasi, Tirunelveli, Tuticorin and Kanyakumari Districts.
